Evaluation Modules (EVMs) are circuit boards containing a DSP, peripherals, expansion connectors, and a JTAG interface. They allow the user to benchmark software, prototype applications and debug algorithms. EVMs allow the user to move forward with their designs and do a proof of concept before designing their own custom hardware.
Designed and developed by Advantech, Texas Instruments’ Evaluation Modules (EVM) gives users a convenient, low cost means of evaluating the features and architecture of Texas Instruments C66x CorePac Digital Signal Processors (DSP). These stand alone EVM boards include a wide range of on board peripherals and interfaces to allow the development of a variety of signal processing applications. These Evaluation Modules have an on-board JTAG Emulator and Code composer Studio in the EVM kit and thus provide a complete the DSP Software environment to start evaluating the DSP. |
