Jeff Chen joined Advantech, as a business development manager in 1993. He led and built up a CPU board production center, and started up the Embedded Computing Group business later in 1999, and Advantech went on to become the #1 embedded computing board provider in the global market. He was promoted to Chief Technology Officer of Advantech in 2006, and built up corporate level engineering infrastructure as well as developing RD centers worldwide.

His major functions today are external technology resource surveys¡Xbased on Advantech¡¦s market needs. To help develop advanced technology and research, he works closely with groups and individuals such as independent research institutes, professors, and specific labs in universities and colleges. And, to develop and adopt technology policies and trends, Jeff also initiated and led many government sponsored programs at Advantech.

Jeff is the chairman of the Digital Signage Alliance with more than 135 members, Vice President of 3DIDA for 3D display technology, and also team leader of the ISBC Working Group which works on intelligent bus computing systems and plans to come out with a national standard which will be supported by the Telemetric Promotion Office of MOEA-Taiwan.
