Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group has announced the launch of WebAccess, a browser-based software package for Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) devices. Advantech WebAccess provides remote control and management allowing users to easily view, control, and configure automation equipment in manufacturing facilities, industrial process plants, electric power stations, and building automation systems. In addition, users can easily engineer and develop systems because all the features found in conventional HMI and SCADA software packages are available in an ordinary web browser.

Advantech DDC (Direct Digital Controller) is a standalone programmable controller designed for building automation applications. Through various onboard I/Os, it provides versatile options to satisfy a wide range of application requirements. Its compact size makes it an ideal solution to fulfill BA applications. Advantech DDC features BASPro, an easy-to-use graphical programming tool that helps engineers develop applications quickly. BASPro delivers many function blocks suitable for BA applications, such as scheduler, HVAC calculation, sequential control, PID control, alarm, message, etc

In addition to the Advantech DDC onboard I/O, there are several I/O expansion modules available from Advantech. These expansion I/O modules can be stacked on the DDC controller, or can serve as remote standalone I/O modules through an RS-485 network. These expansion I/O modules add both scalability and flexibility to Advantech BAS-3000 solutions. Like the DDC, I/O expansion modules can be programmed using the BASPro programming tool.

The Advantech WebView Series is a web browser-based Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software tool. All the features are available through an ordinary web browser including animated graphic displays, real-time data, controllers, trends, alarms, logs, scheduler, recipes and more.
