Introduction

Designed as an attractively priced and space-saving platform, the AIMB-542 Micro ATX motherboard uses the Intel® 865G chipset and supports Intel® Pentium® 4/Celeron® D processorsin theLGA775 package with up to 4 GB of dual channel DDR400/333 system memory. It also comes with one AGP 8X slot and three PCI slots for flexible expandability. Other attractive I/O capabilities include two Serial ATA devices, eight USB 2.0 ports and a single Fast Ethernet LAN 10/100 Mbps controller. With a compact 9.6" x 9.6" size, the AIMB-542 is a highly integrated platform for a wide range of entry-level applications, especially if price and space are important concerns.
