      VEGA-4000 is an FPGA-based low profile PCI Express card which is ideal for accelerating machine learning, data analytics and live video processing applications both in appliances and in scale-out data center servers. As user-generated video content streaming becomes more and more pervasive, there is a corresponding service demand to analyze and classify this content in real time to ensure compliance to rules and to allow further innovative applications to be developed. The resulting processing workloads are both rapidly escalating and rapidly evolving, so the need of processing acceleration and flexibility is crucial. The latest generation of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) from Xilinx offers this acceleration while retaining future-proof reconfigurable capability; and Advantech’s new VEGA-4000 can provide access to this technology in a deployable PCI Express form factor, reducing development risk and gaining a time-to-market advantage.     The VEGA 3000 Series of add-on PCI Express cards conforms to SMPTE 2022 and SMPTE 2110 standards to transport uncompressed or TICO compressed media-over-IP in live productions.

    • VEGA-3002

      The VEGA-3002 is a single slot, Half-Length PCIe add-on card in terms of performing video capture, encapsulation, light weight compression and streaming to enable UHD media transport over 10GbE IP network. VEGA-3002 supports the approved SMPTE 2022-6 standard for transmitting and receiving video raw data through IP networks via RTP protocol. The SMPTE 2022-5 (Forward Error Correction for High Bit Rate Real-Time Video/Audio Transport over IP) feature is also supported by VEGA-3002 to improve resilience of bit errors and packet loss during video data transmission. As a software-configurable board, the VEGA-3002 can support multiple application scenarios and can be firmware-upgraded to support future standard enhancements, which allows users to move their server-based video applications confidently into an IP future with minimum risk. The standard allowing users deploy IP standard such as SMPTE 2022-5/6/7, AIMS/VSF recommendations with the TICO mezzanine codec, and TR-03/04 carries individual packetization of video, audio and Metadata make network more efficient.(up to 40% bandwidth saving). The VEGA-3002 Video Interface Card overcomes SDI limitations in the transition to 4K workflows by delivering low latency and support IP routing while switching of HD and UHD media on standard IP networks. Replacing purpose-specific SDI equipment with payload-agnostic IP networks, VEGA-3002 utilizes universal media-over-IP technology to packetize HD and UHD video streams over commercial-off-the-shelf IP cables, switchers and routers. The wide range of target applications that VEGA-3002 can serve includes cloud video acquisition, video over IP bridge, real-time video transfer and networked broadcast studio installations.
    • VEGA-3001

      VEGA-3001 leverages Sony Low Latency Video Coding (LLVC) to compress and transmit live 4Kp60 video, audio and metadata over a single 10GbE link. As a standard PCI Express interface card, VEGA-3001 further accelerates the fusion of the broadcasting industry and the PC/IT industry by allowing UHD video streaming interfaces to be integrated into wellestablished server architectures, thus facilitating cloud-based broadcast workflows. The VEGA-3001 Video Interface Card overcomes SDI limitations in the transition to 4K workflows by delivering low latency and noise-free switching of HD and UHD media on standard IP networks. The visually-lossless compression used in the LLVC block is used to one 4Kp60, two 1080p60 or four 1080i data streams into a convenient 10GbE Ethernet link. Replacing purpose-specific SDI equipment with payload-agnostic IP networks, VEGA-3001 utilizes Sony IP Live Production technology to packetize HD and UHD video streams from the host into IP datagrams that can be carried along with audio and control data over commercial-off-the-shelf IP cables, switchers and routers.       VEGA-3000 is a single slot, half length PCIe card which performs High Definition 1080p60 video raw data encapsulating/de-encapsulating for transmission across a 10Gbps Ethernet network. Using a power-efficient FPGA from Xilinx, HVC-8800 supports the proposed standard SMPTE 2022-6 (High Bit Rate Media Transport over IP Networks), which describes the encapsulation and de-encapsulation of video to and from IP networks with RTP protocol, and proposed standard SMPTE 2022-5 (Forward Error Correction for High Bit Rate Real-Time Video/Audio Transport over IP) to improve resilience to bit errors and packet loss. VEGA-3000 operates either as a transmitter or receiver functions, selectable using a jumper on the board. The transmitter mode encapsulates video raw data from SDI input or PCI Express interface according to SMPTE-2022 and sends by 10G Ethernet to receiver card side. Conversely, in receiver mode, the card receives SMPTE-2022 packets via 10G Ethernet interface and recovers video raw data for SDI output or via PCIe interface.     • VEGA-3318

      The VEGA-3318 is the world’s first commercial-off-the-shelf video accelerator able to perform low-latency, professional-grade 8-ch 4Kp60 HEVC transcoding in an ultra-low power PCI Express format that can be integrated into standard servers via Linux API. Up to four VEGA-3318 accelerators can be integrated into a 1U server supporting up to 32 live UHD HEVC ABR streams per rack unit - the highest density available in the market. This enables agile, scalable, energy and cost efficient data center deployments to address the growing demand of live UHD OTT video streaming in the cloud. The CAPEX and OPEX savings are significant.       VEGA-3314 is the world’s first commercial-off-the-shelf video processing accelerator able to perform professional-grade real-time transcoding of four 4K resolution video streams in an ultra-low-power and easy-to-integrate PCI Express format. It integrates eight SoCs supporting UHD, HD and SD formats and HEVC, AVC and MPEG-2 codecs including 10-bit profiles and 4:2:2 chroma subsampling.
