    • FWA-6522C

      The FWA-6522C is Advantech’s second generation ultra-high-end network appliance supporting FlowNIC technology for 100G flow processing in a 2U footprint. The platform is a highly integrated appliance designed to boost performance where I/O density and processing power need to be maximized, especially for network security, deep packet inspection and traffic/policy management in non-virtualized and virtualized environments such as SDN and NFV. Designed for handling the increased data rates in next generation networking infrastructure it supports connectivity of up to four 100GbE ports in a compact 2U form factor. While offering performance levels that previously required more complex and costly architectures, Advantech’s FlowNIC technology integrates seamlessly with standard software frameworks such as Linux, Open vSwitch (OVS) and Intel® Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK). Designed to meet next generation networking needs at speeds of multiple 100Gbps, the FWA-6522C is architected around four Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-4600 v3 CPUs with support for SKUs up to 18 cores (72 cores total) and 1TB of system DRAM via 32 DIMMs (8 per CPU socket) for handling large workloads. The FWA-6522C inherits the stacked motherboard design from its predecessor for better maintenance and serviceability. The dual motherboard design provides better performance by running QPI interfaces at 9.6GT/s between processors to reduce cross-socket memory I/O latencies and increases throughput between processors. The system incorporates a FlowNIC based on Netronome’s NFP-6240 silicon that acts as an intelligent load balancer between the external networking ports and the integrated Intel® Xeon® processors. Unlike conventional network appliances that use the QPI interfaces of the processors to route traffic between cores and virtual cores on different sockets, the FlowNIC inside the FWA-6522C is connected to the four Intel® Xeon® processors using four distinct PCIe x8 Gen3 connections, which enables network traffic to be delivered to the destination cores with optimized throughput and minimum latency.       Based on the latest Intel® Xeon® processor platform, the FWA-6520 system is a straight upgrade from Advantech’s leading FWA-6510 dual socket platform. The FWA-6520 has been designed for maximum performance, scalability and functionality in a 2U rack mount footprint. This multi-core processor-based, high-end network communications appliance is optimized for computing power and high speed, high density I/O with best-in-class energy efficiency. Two Intel® Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors (Socket R3) provide the latest architectural enhancements, larger on chip cache memories as well as two Intel® QuickPath Interconnects running at up to 9.6GT/s for reduced cross-socket memory I/O latencies and increased throughput. Each socket supports 4 DDR4 channels with speed up to 2133 MHz for up to 512GB of ECC memory when using the latest RDIMM technology. Advanced RAS modes such as mirroring and sparing increase platform reliability. Advanced thermal system design enables support for processors with 135W TDP on standard SKUs and up to 145W on special SKUs available via Advantech’s Customized COTS framework. Each socket supports 4 DDR3 channels with speeds up to 1600 MHz for up to 384 GB of ECC memory when using the latest LR DIMM technology.     • FWA-3270A/B

      The FWA-3270 1U appliance can be configured with a range of Intel® processors, Ethernet ports, PCIe I/O options and Advantech’s Network Mezzanine Cards (NMCs) to create costeffective platforms for specific enterprise networking applications. The appliance is powered by processors utilizing the LGA-1150 socket, including the Intel® Xeon® E3-1275/1225/1268Lv5, 6th generation Intel® Core™ I7-6700/I7-6700TE/I5-6500/I5-6500TE/I3-6100/I3-6100TE, the Pentium® G4400/G4400TE and the Celeron® G3900/G3900TE.Memory configurations can include 4 x DDR4 2133 DIMMs up to 64GB in total.       The FWA-3260 1U network appliance features Intel's® Xeon® Processor D System On Chip to meet the need for higher core count, larger and faster memory as well as increased IO performance without sacrificing cost efficiency in a compact footprint.With up to 16 Xeon class cores and 1.5MB last level cache per core tightly integrated with DDR4 memory controllers and a rich IO subsystem, the Xeon® D SoC performs extremely well in applications tailored for multicore designs. Besides supporting memory capacities up to 128GB, Xeon® D also brings enhanced reliability and availability features previously only available on high end Xeon® E5 series processors into a midrange appliance footprint.       Conceived as a powerful but low power consumption Tabletop Internet security platform, the FWA-1330 series was specifically designed for mainstream IDS/IPS, Anti-virus, VPN gateway and Unified Threat Management (UTM) applications. The FWA-1330 adopts the latest Intel Bay Trail processor. This supports up to 4 GB of Single-channel DDR3L 1333/1600 SDRAM on one SODIMM.
