Advantech Launches Enhanced 27” PAX-327 Medical-Grade Surgical Monitor
Taipei, Taiwan, June 1, 2019 – Advantech, a leading provider of medical computing platforms and solutions, is pleased to announce PAX-327 – a 27” widescreen medical-grade surgical monitor aimed at medical applications for ensuring operating precision. Designed to deliver medical images of optimal quality, the PAX-327 monitor supports Full HD and UHD resolution. Featuring the Rec. 709 Color Space, true RGB and DICOM Part 14 GSDF compliance, 14-bit LUT processing grayscale, hardware calibration support, and automatic input source detection, PAX-327 ensures precise representation of grayscale images. Meanwhile, the inclusion of power-saving functions ensures the monitor is automatically switched to standby mode after 3 seconds without signal. To facilitate simultaneous monitoring of color and monochrome images on the same screen, particularly for operating room (OR) applications, the monitor also features hybrid gamma encoding (HGE) technology. The slim, true-flat design also offers physical onscreen display (OSD) keys as well as a splash screen. Moreover, PAX-327 can be equipped with an optional projective capacitive (PCAP) touchscreen and/or upgraded into an IP-based monitor.
27” True-Flat Surgical Monitor for Superior Imaging
PAX-327 is a true-flat, full HD and UHD surgical monitor with an AR filter. Boasting a narrow edge of less than 24 mm, panel thickness of less than 20 mm, and weight of 8.90 ~ 10.40 kg (19.62 ~ 22.93 lb), the monitor provides a compact and lightweight imaging solution for diverse medical applications. In addition to being able to display images of various aspect ratios without distortion, PAX-327 offers a higher pixel density that enhances image sharpness, while the increased vertical space provides a 10% greater viewing area. The I/O cover design optimizes cable routing and facilitates hygiene for superior infection control. To eliminate heating issues, PAX-327 is also equipped with an IPX1 ventilation hole that boosts airflow. Finally, the silver decorated rim gives the monitor an elegant and luxurious appearance, while the physical OSD keys are designed to be downward facing to prevent accidental touches.
Dual-Modality Support Ensures Flexible Viewing
The PAX-327 surgical monitor features a variety of analog and digital I/O interfaces for optimal connectivity in order to display images from a wide range of image sources. Additionally, PAX-327 is equipped with HGE technology to support dual-modality display, ensuring color and monochrome images can be displayed on the same screen without sacrificing image quality. This functionality is extremely important for imaging applications in OR environments.
