Advantech EIoT WPC - Co-Creating AIoT Ecosystem through Innovative Embedded Technology AI Edge Intelligence and WISE-PaaS Marketplace 2.0

12/12/2019

Advantech (stock code: 2395), a global leader in IoT, is hosting the Embedded IoT World Partner Conference at its IoT Campus at Linkou. The conference theme is, Leading Embedded Innovation into an AIoT Future. It will showcase various IoT and AIoT related solutions co-created by Advantech, its partners, and customers from around the world. In addition, Advantech has invited strategic partners Steen Graham, General Manager of IoT Ecosystem, Intel; Dr Jau Huang, Chairman of CyberLink; and Kunal Agarwal, General Manager of IoT, Symantec, to share their insights and perspectives on AI, edge computing, wireless networks, information security, and also their perspectives on co-creation and building technology ecosystems. There are over 450 customers and partners from 50 countries participating in the Advantech Embedded IoT World Partner Conference, co-creating future IoT business development together.

Leading Embedded Innovations into an AIoT Future

Since 2010, Advantech has been actively committed to promoting the development of Industrial IoT (IIoT) in three phases: embedded system platforms; software and hardware integrated with WISE-PaaS and Industrial App (I.App) IoT cloud platforms; and applications and solutions co-created with domain-focused partners. According to Miller Chang, President of Embedded IoT Group (EIoT), Advantech, “AI and IoT will become the driving force for industrial growth into the future. Therefore, as the cornerstone for phases two and three in the development of AIoT, embedded platforms must be able to utilize solutions that incorporate both AI and IoT to meet market demands. Going forward, our solutions will evolve in four major directions: Embedded Core Design-in Services; Edge AI, Intelligence & Wireless Connectivity; Design & Manufacturing Services; Cloud, Network Security & Video AI.”

  • Embedded Core Design-in Services
As a pioneer and leader in the embedded market, Advantech offers a one-stop service to integrate embedded boards, software, and peripherals with customer-centric design-in services for a variety of industries.
  • Edge AI, Intelligence & Wireless Connectivity
AIoT will become a huge driving force for the growth in the industry. Advantech is committed to developing AI edge inference integration solutions, edge intelligence, 5G / LPWA, and WISE-PaaS/DeviceOn IoT device maintenance management software to help customers accelerate the development of their AIoT applications.
  • Design & Manufacturing Services
Provides customers with a design and manufacturing service that meets their industrial customization needs, including all aspects of design, development, validation, and manufacturing for specific applications in medical, AIoT, transportation, automation, retail, and intelligent displays and HMI.
  • Cloud IoT Solutions
Focusses on the application and innovative technology of 5G and IoT, including private cloud solutions, AI technology and applications in the 4K/8K imaging sector, SD-WAN, 5G private mobile networks, and network security—combining cloud computing and IoT to improve efficiency in field operations.

Co-Creation Partners Showcase Ecosystem Solutions in the Embedded IoT Field

The conference not only shared Advantech’s development strategy and policy on EIoT system platforms but also showcased the complete EIoT ecosystem that the theme covered such as embedded platform and design-in services, Arm-based computing solutions, wireless connectivity solutions, domain-focused solutions, Edge AI solutions, Cloud IoT solutions, and design and manufacturing services. At the same time, there were demonstrations of WISE-PaaS/DeviceOn, a software that fully manages IoT devices and equipment in various real-case scenarios. Additionally, Advantech also invited Microsoft, McAfee, Chunghwa Telecom, HwaCom Systems, Tong Cheng, Parktron Technology, Yujin Robot, KOLON BENIT, iProd, and TED, totaling 11 partners from both domestically and abroad who participated in the exhibition.

Implementation of WISE-PaaS Marketplace 2.0 Promotes Advantech’s Journey to AIoT

Advantech has invested heavily in the research and development of the WISE-PaaS IoT cloud platform and the creation of the WISE-PaaS Marketplace online shop—used to widely implement IoT applications for phases two and three. Due to be launched in 2020, Advantech’s WISE-PaaS Marketplace 2.0 will evolve to become a trading platform for IIoT solutions, creating a marketplace for Industrial apps and offering a subscription service for customers, as well as a place where we invite ecosystem partners to upload and sell their solutions. The subscription model includes WISE-PaaS/DeviceOn App, Edge.SRP, General I.App, Domain I.App, AI modules, as well as consulting services and training services provided by Advantech and partners via the WISE-PaaS Marketplace 2.0.

Miller Chang added, “Advantech has never ceased in its commitment to promote the development of AIoT. Other than combining AI and IoT solutions through continuous enhancements, innovative technology, and our design-in services, the official launch of WISE-PaaS Marketplace 2.0 will take place in 2020 and Advantech will then be able to facilitate the acceleration and adoption of AIoT development into phases two and three. Advantech is therefore gathering and accepting all innovative ideas in co-creation with external ecosystem partners, and establishing specific resources for long-term cultivation across a variety of industries, which will drive Advantech to a better and brighter future in AIoT.”
