In terms of geographic overview, North America, Europe, China, North Asia, Taiwan, and Emerging markets outperformed with double-digit YoY growth of 58%, 36%, 55%, 43%, 72%, and 37%, respectively. Mr. Eric Chen, CFO and President of General Management at Advantech, stated, “Benefiting from the continued development of the Edge AI market and strong demand from application sectors such as semiconductor equipment and smart healthcare, coupled with supply chain fluctuations and rising component prices, customer ordering activity remained robust, driving accumulated revenue growth of 49% YoY to a new record high. Operating profit and net income also recorded strong growth compared to the same period last year. However, rising costs of key components resulted in a temporary year-over-year decline in gross margin. In terms of order momentum, Advantech’s overall Orders-to-Shipments ratio (B/B Ratio) reached 1.64 in the third quarter, with both booking and shipping increased in QoQ. B/B ratios across all three major regions improved from the previous quarter, with North America reaching 2.12, while Europe and China increased to 1.52 and 1.50, respectively, reflecting sustained strength in overall order momentum.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, despite ongoing fluctuations in raw material costs and supply chain challenges, Advantech has implemented corresponding measures to ensure long-term supply stability and maintain its cost pass-through mechanisms, supporting continued operational resilience. Meanwhile, Advantech is accelerating investments in key markets, including the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, to strengthen its global operations and localized service capabilities. In the United States, Advantech’s new headquarters in Tustin, Southern California, has officially commenced operations, integrating local assembly, technical services, and customer collaboration resources to respond more effectively to North American market demand and capture growth opportunities in Edge Computing and AI applications. Advantech remains committed to ‘Edge Computing & AI-Powered WISE Solutions’ as its mid- to long-term brand development direction. By further integrating its hardware and software platforms and deepening collaboration across its global industry ecosystem, Advantech aims to accelerate the large-scale deployment of Edge AI applications across key vertical markets.”
