Taipei, Taiwan, – Advantech (2395 TW), a global leader in Industrial IoT and Edge AI solutions, introduces the newest additions to its lineup—the NVIDIA RTX™ A1000 and NVIDIA RTX A400 GPUs—representing professional GPU cards for entry to mid-range workflows in small form factors. These cutting-edge professional GPUs are now available from Advantech
The SFF GPU Lineup Grows: Introducing NVIDIA RTX A1000 and A400 GPUs
NVIDIA RTX A1000 and NVIDIA RTX A400 GPUs are efficient, single-slot professional AI solutions for CAD, DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion), financial services and visualization professionals in general looking to achieve great performance in a compact form factor. Building on the major Streaming Multiprocessor enhancements from previous-generation GPUs, the NVIDIA Ampere architecture enhances ray tracing operations, tensor matrix operations, and concurrent executions of FP32 and INT32 operations.
CUDA Cores
Compared to the previous generation SKY-QUAD-T1000 and SKY-QUAD-T400, the new models powered by RTX A1000 and RTX A400 have 2-2.5 times more CUDA cores. The NVIDIA Ampere architecture-based CUDA cores offer 2.5-2.7 times the single-precision floating point (FP32) throughput, significantly boosting performance for tasks like 2D and 3D graphics, photo and video editing, data analysis, and general productivity. These new models also enable two FP32 primary data paths, doubling peak FP32 operations.
Now Offering Tensor and RT Cores
The RTX A1000and RTX A400 feature enhanced Tensor and RT Cores compared to the previous generation. The RTX A1000 features 18 RT Cores and 72 Tensor Cores. The RTX A400 has 6 RT Cores and 24 Tensor Cores, which not only significantly enhances AI computing but also adds powerful features such as ray tracing and video streaming, decoding and analysis.
Second Generation RT Cores
The RTX A1000 and RTX A400 GPUs incorporate second-generation ray-tracing engines, offering exceptional ray-traced rendering performance. These models render complex professional models with accurate shadows, reflections, and refractions, providing instant insight. They are up to 3 times faster in rendering performance compared to the previous generation, with the RTX A400 GPU capable of outputting four 4K videos, exceeding the capabilities of its predecessor.
Third-Generation Tensor Cores
Third-generation Tensor Cores accelerate the TF32 and BFloat16 precision modes. Independent floating point and integer data paths allow more efficient execution of workloads using a mix of computation and addressing calculations.
Diversified Application Scenarios for Industries
The RTX A1000 and RTX A400 GPUs excel in various fields, serving:
- Medical 3D rendering and high-computing tasks.
- Video encoding and AI inference.
- Smart manufacturing
- Transportation
- Commercial gaming
- Multi-screen 3D rendering output
