System Requirements
Customer required a solution to sharing important information such as fire alarms, lift functionality, events, resident’s information and power outages to all its tenants. The deployment method would preclude a wired solution due to the complexity, cost and regulatory compliance of retrofitting residential structures with a cabled infrastructure. A secure, robust and reliable communication method was required for these services and Advantech’s Industrial Cellular Router matched perfectly.

The solution involved using Advantech’s industrial cellular router the ICR-2734 combined with ruggedised displays to provide a reliable and robust residential information sharing solution. Assured communication of critical services such as fire alarms, power disruptions and lift outages were ensured along with other services like residential information and events.
