Ethernet connections can be made up to 2600 meters (8530 ft) using existing coaxial cable. The Ethernet Extender fully complies with IEEE 802.3 10BaseT and IEEE 802.3u 100BaseTX standards. The EIR-EXTEND-C functions at temperatures ranging from -40C to 75C (-40F to 167F) and is tested for functional operation @ -40C to 85C (-40F to 185F).

Industrial, long reach Power-over-Ethernet extenders use existing copper cable infrastructure (twisted pair or coaxial cable) to extend Ethernet over VDSL2. As an end span unit, the Remote relies on its own power source providing up to 30W (up to 120W total) for each RJ45 port to PD devices (PTZ cameras, wireless AP and VoIP phones). Meets IEEE 802.3af/at for use with a variety of compliant PD devices.
