Advantech Expands Industrial GPU Solution Lineup with New MXM GPUs, Powered by NVIDIA Ada Lovelace Architecture, and Ultra-Compact GPU Edge Computer

Introducing New MXM GPU Series Leveraging the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace Architecture

Advantech offers MXM GPU cards based on the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, launching the SKY-MXM-5000A, SKY-MXM-3500A, and SKY-MXM-2000A. Featuring compact sizes, rugged designs, and low power consumption, these new cards are ideal for GPU computing in portable devices, especially in space-constrained, fanless environments.

The key features of the new MXM GPUs utilizing the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture include:

  • CUDA cores - Double the professional graphics and compute performance compared to the previous NVIDIA Ampere architecture generation-based GPUs.
  • 3rd-Generation RT Cores - Up to twice the rendering throughput of the NVIDIA Ampere architecture generation.
  • 4th-Generation Tensor Cores - Twice the AI computing power of the NVIDIA Ampere architecture generation.
  • High-Level Image Acceleration - 2.5 times faster image processing with new video encode and decode engines.
  • Extended Product Life Support - Over 5 years of longevity, ensuring stability and durability.
  • Customized Thermal Solutions - Ensures stable operation in temperatures from 0°C to 55°C, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.

These advancements accelerate AI application development in industrial manufacturing, medical care, smart cities, and gaming, supporting machine automation, machine vision, dental and surgical systems, and driver assistance.


UNO-148 V2 with MXM GPU Integration for Enhanced AI Capabilities

Meanwhile, Advantech introduces the latest addition to its Edge Controller series, the UNO-148 V2, accompanied by the UNO-MXM-CB01 carrier stack, tailored for diverse AI industrial needs. The UNO-148 V2 is equipped with the latest Intel® Core™ processors (13th Gen), delivering superior computing power. Its modular design supports various expansion options, particularly through its integration with the UNO-MXM-CB01 carrier stack, enabling compatibility with Advantech MXM GPU cards built on NVIDIA GPUs. This combination ensures that the UNO-148 V2 can accommodate the 1 x MXM 3.1 Type A form factor GPU module expansion with support for up to 35W of power consumption. 

Moreover, the inclusion of this MXM expansion module provides 4 independent display outputs, facilitating real-time data processing and displays in demanding environments such as airports, MRT stations, and control rooms. With features like port isolation and NVMe SSD storage that supports RAID, the UNO-148 V2 ensures robust performance for edge computing and GPU-intensive applications, making it ideal for the medical and manufacturing sectors, particularly in image collection. Engineered for longevity and stability, the UNO-148 V2 with UNO-MXM modules excels in AI-demanding environments, perfectly suited for edge computing and GPU-powered applications.
