Challenges
A rapid transit system customer needed a partner capable of offering a fully-integrated single-board computer (SBC) with ram and OS. This SBC needed to support easy installation within their upgraded Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems. Analogously, the customer lacked existing CLA with Microsoft and needed to select a partner that could both provide licenses and pre-install OS/application software prior to shipping. To this end, they contacted Advantech while upgrading their AFC system.
