System Requirements

To achieve any time, all year round, rolling stock, wayside, signal, power, obstacle detection, monitoring and data collection, on-train management systems need to have the following secure and fault-resistant features.

Sensing

Enables real-time rolling stock motoring of pantographs, bogies train axles , wheels, and key equipment on the wayside, such as signals and tracks. Acquire data about distances, speed, inclinations curvatures, and horizontal/vertical parameters for diagnostics and prognostics.

Diagnostics

To realize 24/7 rolling stock monitoring. the onboard subsystem requires both measurement and diagnostic capabilities. Also performs reliable connectivity to transmit diagnostic reports to the cloud or data center so they can synchronize with the trackside diagnostic systems

AI Scalability

Trends in railway transportation are moving towards unmanned operations, so systems need highly reliable automation systems. Advanced wireless technologies transmit on-train data, images, and video to control centers for real time analysis by high-end Al which can perform fast assessments and actions.

Wireless Expandability

By using on-train systems to monitor equipment status and tracking location by GPS, the system can figure out potentially anomalous scenarios where some maintenance may be required and engineers can know the exact location where tracks need to be repaired. This is where high-speed, low latency wireless networking capability comes into its own.
