Advantech Empowers the "AI Factory Brain" with NVIDIA NemoClaw: Orchestrating Agentic AI for End-to-End Operational Intelligence

01/06/2026

Advantech (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in Edge Computing & Edge AI platforms, today announced an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA to unveil a new AI-native factory architecture for the era of Agentic AI and Physical AI. Driven by NVIDIA NemoClaw, NVIDIA Factory Operations Blueprint, NVIDIA RTX PRO, NVIDIA Jetson Thor, and Advantech’s WISE-Edge Developer Architecture (WEDA), the solution enables manufacturers to integrate AI intelligence into real-time factory operations, addressing growing demands for production flexibility, labor optimization, and energy efficiency.

Miller Chang, President of Advantech Embedded Sector, said: “Advantech’s collaboration with NVIDIA represents a major milestone in the evolution of AI-powered smart factories. By integrating the NVIDIA AI Factory Brain concept with Advantech’s Edge AI and WEDA ecosystem powered by NVIDIA NemoClaw and NVIDIA full-stack edge AI computing platforms, we are enabling factory-wide intelligence through agent-driven AI, software-defined orchestration, and autonomous operations — creating a proven and replicable blueprint for the next generation of intelligent manufacturing through Physical AI.”

Powering the AI Factory Brain with NVIDIA Factory Operations Blueprint (FOX)

Advantech has introduced the AI Factory Brain, an intelligent multi-agent system led by a factory manager agent built with the NVIDIA Factory Operations Blueprint (FOX). The system acts as the central intelligence layer that autonomously monitors anomalies, pinpoints potential root cases, and coordinates agents and operators to resolve the issue quickly. This cutting-edge agentic system is built on the NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms—alongside MIC and ICAM edge devices powered by NVIDIA IGX Thor, NVIDIA Jetson Thor and NVIDIA Jetson Orin. By ingesting real-time data from corporate systems (SAP, MES, WMS) and edge sensors, the factory manager agent supports AI agents across the factory floor, leveraging NVIDIA NemoClaw, NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Metropolis, and NVIDIA Isaac Sim to automate workflows, optimize energy utilization, and drive measurable gains in OEE, yield, and MTTR.

Edge Agentic AI Empowers Real-Time Inference for Precision Defect Detection and Process Optimization

Advantech’s ICAM-540 camera and MIC-743-AT platforms, powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and NVIDIA Jetson Thor respectively, enable AI-driven AOI inspection and on-premises LLM/VLM chatbot deployment to improve defect detection, increase production efficiency, and support intelligent factory operations through natural language interaction.

Physical AI Bridges Dual Pathways for Flexible Automated Logistics and Warehousing

Advantech’s AIR-427A platforms, powered by NVIDIA IGX Thor, together with the AFE-A702 platforms, powered by NVIDIA Jetson Thor, provide high-performance AI computing for forklifts, humanoid robots, AMRs, and MMRs. These platforms enable autonomous navigation, robotic manipulation, intelligent material handling, and dynamic shop floor coordination, while AI agents understand workflow context, adjust production priorities, and assist operators in real time.

Enterprise-Grade Governance and Functional Safety for Reliable System Operations

Through NVIDIA NemoClaw, including the NVIDIA OpenShell secure runtime and policy frameworks, the architecture provides enterprise-grade security, access control, and operational governance. The MIC-735-IT and AIR-427A platform, powered by NVIDIA IGX Thor, further enables FuSa-ready AI computing for humanoid robotics and autonomous industrial systems, helping maintain operational reliability and worker safety.

Validated in Production: Advantech's Own Factory AI Agent Pilot

Advantech has validated the architecture through two AI agent pilots powered by NVIDIA NemoClaw in its own manufacturing operations. The iEnergy Agent applies autonomous energy management by cross-referencing production schedules with real-time Vision AI feeds and SCADA systems to control HVAC and lighting, with a projected 10% reduction in total factory energy consumption upon full deployment.

The Production Line Efficiency Agent uses Vision AI to capture real-time assembly line data. It analyzes productivity metrics, detects anomalies and bottlenecks, and generates improvement recommendations and shift reports. Since deployment approximately six months ago, it has delivered a 12% improvement in assembly line productivity.

Building on its long-term collaboration with NVIDIA, Advantech will continue expanding its edge AI and accelerated computing portfolio to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption across smart manufacturing, AOI inspection, industrial robotics, warehouse automation, autonomous logistics, and digital twin applications.
