Advantech Unveils New AI, Industrial and Network Edge Servers Powered by Intel® Xeon® 6 Processors

Taipei, Taiwan, Feb 25, 2025 – Advantech (stock code: 2395), a global leader in industrial and embedded computing, today announced the launch of seven new server platforms built on Intel® Xeon® 6 processors, optimized for industrial, transportation and communications applications. Designed to meet the increasing demands of complex AI storage and networking workloads, these innovative edge servers and network appliances provide superior performance, reliability, and scalability for system integrators, solutions, and service provider customers.

Intel® Xeon® 6 processors feature advanced performance and efficiency cores, delivering up to 86 cores per CPU, DDR5 memory support with speeds up to 6400 MT/s, and PCIe Gen5 lanes for high-speed connectivity. Designed to optimize both compute-intensive and scale-out workloads, these processors ensure seamless integration across a wide array of applications.

• SKY-8136S: An edge server designed for business-critical applications where performance, density and reliability are top priorities. This short-depth server supports single Intel Xeon 6 processor up to 250W TDP, 8x DDR5 RDIMM and 4 x hot-swappable SFF NVMe SSDs. It features Advantech’s Platform Management and carrier-grade design to minimize downtime for high-availability applications. 
• SKY-622G4:  A high-density GPU server that supports up to four dual-width GPU cards. The SKY-622G4 is certified NVIDIA MGX modular reference design with improved ROI and reduced time to market, to support a variety of use cases from remote visualization to supercomputing at the edge. 
• ASMB-818: An ATX server board offering exceptional memory and I/O expansion capabilities. Ideal for high-reliability industrial applications, it includes 8 x DIMM DDR5 (5600 MHz), 3 x PCIe 5.0 x16, 2 x PCIe 5.0 x8, and 1 x PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, as well as dual 10G and 2.5G Ethernet ports.
  
• ASMB-928: A high-performance E-ATX server board designed for manufacturing applications, leveraging Intel® Xeon® 6 processors and multiple expansion slots to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  

High-performance Computing and Storage Servers 

• SKY-722V4 high-performance server optimized for compute-intensive tasks, featuring multi-core processing capabilities ideal for AI training and big data analytics. Equipped with 3 x FH | 3/4L PCIe 5.0 x16 (DW), 2 x Low Profile PCIe 5.0 x8, and 16 x hot-swap 2.5” NVMe SSD.
• SKY-712V4: A 1U dual-socket server for maximum performance density in a high-reliability design to support business-critical enterprise and networking applications. The SKY-712V4 supports up to 2 x FH | 3/4L PCIe 5.0 x16, 1 x OCP3.0 PCIe 5.0 x16 and 16 x hot-swap 2.5” NVMe SSD.

• FWA-6173: A high-end network appliance that ideal to protect traffic between networks and provide advanced capabilities beyond traditional, stateful firewalls. The FWA-6173 supports dual Intel Xeon 6 processors, up to 172 P-core or 288 E-core, 16 x DDR5 RDIMM and 8 x Network Mezzanine Cards for high-throughput I/O connectivity. It also supports 2 x internal PCIe 5.0 slots for use cases where additional AI or networking acceleration is required.
