Solution:

  • My virtual com port shows up in the device manager but my software says it can not open the port.

    If you are unable to open the virtual com port - Please verify that you do not have the web interface mode set for UDP or TCP options. The virtual com port can only be supported and used when you are in normal mode. Normal mode is selected under the serial port settings and select operating mode.
