Introduction
Advantech's ADAM-6000 series of Ethernet I/O modules can be easily integrated for flexible remote device monitoring. Equipped with peer-to-peer (P2P) and Graphic Condition Logic (GCL) technology, ADAM-6000 modules can serve as standalone measurement, control, and automation devices. Furthermore, the ADAM-6000 series features both analog and digital I/O modules.

Daisy Chain and Auto-Bypass SupportDaisy chain connectivity ensures flexible cabling and saves installation space. The inclusion of Ethernet auto-bypass protection prevents accidental power failures in the event of a module unexpectedly shutting down. GCL FunctionalityGCL functionality provides Ethernet I/O modules with control capabilities. Users can define the control logic rules in a graphical configuration environment via the ADAM/APAX.NET utility and download defined logic rules to specific ADAM-6000 Ethernet I/O modules. These modules can then execute the logic rules automatically as standalone controllers. |
Peer-to-Peer TechnologyModules with peer-to-peer networking enabled can actively update the input channel status to specific output channels, streamlining operations and eliminating the need for a controller. Users can define mappings between a pair of modules (one input and one output module) without the hassle of long-distance wiring. Quick Integration with Existing PLC SystemsAll ADAM-6100 modules are equipped with standard GSD and EDS files, and can be rapidly integrated with diverse PLC systems, including systems produced by Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Omron. |
