Advantech Reports 1Q25 EPS of NT$3.17

 Taipei, Taiwan, April 24, 2025 - Advantech (TWSE: 2395) today announced the following consolidated financial results for the first quarter of 2025 ending March 31:  

  • Revenue : NT$17.351 billion, up 6% QoQ and up 25% YoY
  • Gross profitNT$7.028 billion, up 5% QoQ and up 27% YoY
  • Operating profit : NT$2.924 billion, up 16% QoQ and up 53 % YoY
  • Net income : NT$2.734 billion, up 4% QoQ and up 37% YoY
  • Earnings per share : NT$3.17

Regarding the accumulated operating results of 1Q25 in US dollars, Advantech achieved an overall revenue of US$528 million, increased 19% YoY. In terms of geographic overview, North America, Europe, China, and Emerging markets outperformed with YoY growth of 23%,25%,11%, and 18%, respectively. Taiwan was single-digit growth in YoY. However, North Asia experienced a single-digit YoY decline. By business units, Intelligent Service Sector (iService) resulted a 41% YoY growth; Intelligent Systems Sector (iSystems) and IoT Automation Sector (IAutomation) grew by 27% and 20% YoY; Embedded Sector overall achieved 11% YoY growth, with Embedded IoT Group (EIoT) and Applied Computing Group (ACG) increased by 12% and 9% YoY, respectively. All business units delivered positive performance.

Mr. Eric Chen, CFO and President of General Management at Advantech stated, “The overall company’s Orders-to-Shipments ratio (B/B Ratio) of 1Q25 reached 1.08. For regional breakdown, the three major regions remained above 1. Europe and China showed QoQ growth by reaching 1.10 and 1.07, respectively, while North America experienced a slightly decreased to 1.05. Looking forward to 2Q25, Advantech continues to expand its application footprint in the Edge AI market, with rising demand across key sectors driving steady growth in overall operations. Nevertheless, ongoing geopolitical tensions and tariff-related challenges may slightly affect the customer order visibility and shipment lead times. To address these systemic risks, Advantech has proactively adjusted its shipment structure, enhanced supply chain resilience, and maintained close communication with customers to mitigate potential risks and uncertainties.
