Introduction
Advantech’s APAX high-density remote I/O series is aimed at control markets, and offers flexibility, scalability, hot-swappable functionality, and diverse I/O options. APAX high-density remote I/O modules can support a variety of protocols, including PROFINET, CANOpen, Modbus/TCP, and Ethernet/IP, enabling customers to build remote I/O and automation control systems with specific protocols to satisfy their remote I/O needs.
Key Features
Supports up to 32 I/O Modules |
Supports up to 768 Digital/192 Analog Signals |
Modbus/TCP, PROFINET RT,
|
Hot Swappable |
Hot-Swappable, High-Density I/O ModulesAPAX I/O modules are powered by and communicate via the backplane. Additionally, because APAX I/O modules are hot swappable, they can be removed or inserted into the backplane even when the system is powered on. This allows users to replace specific I/O modules without shutting down the system, significantly reducing system downtime and maintenance. Clamp-Type Terminal BlocksAll APAX I/O modules support detachable clamp-type terminal blocks for I/O wiring. Compared to traditional screw-type terminal blocks, clamp-type terminal blocks offer greater resistance to shock and vibration and can reduce installation time by up to 75%. Additionally, the connection does not need to be checked or retightened. |
Easily Identifiable ModulesAll digital modules feature a channel status LED. The power LED not only displays the module power status, but also performs self-diagnostic functions. The ID switch located at the front enables operators to change the module ID number. To avoid damaging modules by mounting the terminal block on the wrong module, pair the terminal block with a module of the same color. Writable Labels with Wiring DiagramAll I/O modules feature a detachable label that can be used to record important information, such as channel information. On the other side of the label a wiring diagram is provided to serve as a reference and ensure convenient maintenance and operation. |
