K.C. Liu, the founder and chairman of Advantech, has been deeply involved in the industrial IoT field for over 40 years. Under his leadership, Advantech has become the world's largest industrial computer brand. Since 2003, Advantech has consistently been recognized by Interbrand as one of Taiwan's top 20 international brands, maintaining a position in the top five for the past seven years.
K.C. Liu founded Advantech and introduced the "Good-to-Great Three Circles" concept. With the vision of "Enabling an Intelligent Planet," he emphasizes altruism, ethical business practices, and excellence. This approach has led Advantech to become an outstanding industry leader. To elaborate his altruistic vision, he established the Advantech Foundation, which implements social welfare projects such as "Innovative IoT R&D" and "Sustainable Innovation Education."
In response to the rapidly growing demand for industrial Edge Computing and Edge AI, Advantech will continue to focus on the AIoT and Edge Computing fields. By adopting a sector-driven strategy, Advantech aims to accelerate the global implementation of AIoT solutions and become the most influential global enterprise in the AIoT industry.
Since founded in 1983, Advantech has established subsidiaries in 21 countries and employs nearly 9,000 people worldwide. K.C. Liu graduated from National Chiao Tung University with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and previously worked as an electronic instrument sales engineer at Hewlett-Packard Taiwan.
