Advantech Collaborates with Edge Impulse to Accelerate Edge AI Innovation on Qualcomm Platforms

Taipei, Taiwan, May 2025 — Advantech, a global leader in industrial edge computing, today announced a collaboration with EdgeImpulse Inc., a leading development platform for AI at the edge. Utilizing the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ QCS6490 processor, this collaboration is set to streamline and accelerate the deployment of intelligent edge solutions across various industrial and IoT applications.
The collaboration between Advantech and Edge Impulse focuses on creating an integrated, user-friendly platform that is intended to simplify the development and deployment of edge AI applications. Edge Impulse’s end-to-end solution offers data collection, model training, and model deployment capabilities, which, when combined with Advantech’s robust hardware platforms, is designed to significantly reduce complexity and accelerates the time-to-market for innovative edge AI products.
As part of this collaboration, Advantech is introducing the AOM-DK2721 Developer Kit, powered by the Dragonwing QCS6490 processor. The developer kit integrates Edge Impulse’s intuitive development workflow, enabling rapid prototyping, training, and deployment of robust edge AI models. With advanced connectivity and optimized machine learning capabilities, the AOM-DK2721 Developer Kit significantly reduces development cycles.
