Preparing for the E810 Lifecycle Transition: Introducing Intel® Ethernet E835
2026-09-01

Intel has introduced the new Ethernet E835 Network Adapter family, supporting connectivity from 10GbE up to 200GbE.
As selected E810 adapters enter lifecycle transition, E835 is recommended for new projects and long-lifecycle designs.
E810 Lifecycle Transition
Intel has issued End-of-Life notifications covering selected E810 network adapters. Existing projects should review the lifecycle status of each individual product and plan qualification or migration according to project schedules.
Why E835 for New Designs
E835 expands the Intel Ethernet 800 Series with higher bandwidth, flexible connectivity, and modern security. E835, E830, and E810 network adapter families share drivers, helping maintain software consistency across product generations and simplify migration.
Key E835 Advantages
- Up to 200GbE connectivity with flexible 10/25/50/100/200GbE configurations
- RDMA for low-latency and high-throughput workloads
- DDP and DPDK for optimized packet processing and improved CPU efficiency
- Precision Timing - Keeps connected systems synchronized with precise timing, especially for telecom and vRAN applications; supports IEEE 1588 PTP v2 and PTM v1.0a
- Modern hardware-based security with Secure Boot, signed firmware, device attestation, and hardware Root of Trust
- Low-power design to help reduce system-level power consumption
Recommended Intel® Ethernet E835 Products
- Information technology infrastructure servers for domestic government and enterprise file servers.
- Video security NVR, traffic monitoring storage, and 5G base station edge storage.
- Small and medium-sized databases, massive video archiving, large-capacity NAS storage
- Industrial control and automation, wide-temperature embedded equipment, vehicle-mounted storage.
| Product | Configuration | Interface | Recommended Application |
| 96NIC-E835XXVDA2 | 2 × 25/10GbE | SFP28 / PCIe 4.0 x8 | General server, enterprise and edge applications |
| 96NIC-E835XXVDA4 | 4 × 25/10GbE | SFP28 / PCIe 4.0 x16 physical, x8 electrical | High port-density 25GbE applications |
| 96NIC-E835CQDA2 | Up to 2 × 100GbE or 1 × 200GbE* | QSFP28 / QSFP56 | High-bandwidth server and data center applications |
| 96NIC-E835CCQDA1 | Up to 1 × 200GbE | QSFP56 / PCIe 5.0 x8 or PCIe 4.0 x16 | 200GbE and bandwidth-intensive applications |
*For the dual-port adapter, use only Port 1 to configure a single 200GbE port. In this configuration, Port 2 will not have connectivity.
Suggested Migration Direction
For the Advantech 25GbE adapters listed below, the corresponding E835 models provide the most direct migration direction while maintaining the same port-count class.
| Existing E810 Configuration | Recommended E835 Direction |
