  • What's difference between Logical drive partition and OS partition?

    The "Logical drive partition" can be used to create virtual Hard disk, while OS can partition it further. After creating logical drives, it can be divided into 8 partitions in maximum, and map them to different LUNs under various SCSI
    ID. On host side, there will be 8 physical hard disks available. These physical hard disks can be partitioned by operating system to suit different application environment. So, in brief, the logical drive partition is equal to a physical drive, and the OS partition is done on physical drive (LD partition).That is logical dirve!
    The following file shows you how a RAID5 logical drive with three partitions is displayed under disk management of Windows NT4.0.
