Advantech Utilizes 12th Gen Intel® Core™ Xeon® CPUs to Accelerate AI

Advantech has recently introduced 12th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop CPUs. 12th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop CPUs leverage up to 16 cores, 24 threads, and high-performance chip design to empower AI and graphics performance. The enhanced graphics functions are ideal for immersive, engaging video, alongside fast AI with hardware acceleration and Intel® Xe Architecture.

Innovative High-Performance Chip Design

This revolutionary chip design integrates up to 8 x performance-cores (P-cores) that enhance IoT workload consolidation. This design also integrates up to 8 x efficient-cores (E-cores) that enhance background task management and multitasking.

When compared to 10th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, 12th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop processors drive up to 1.36 times faster in single-thread performance and up to 1.35 times faster in multi-thread performance.

Enhanced Graphics Performance

This CPU design provides to 32 graphics execution units (EUs). It uses Intel® UHD Graphics 770 powered by Intel® Xe Architecture to deliver excellent visual performance. This solution delivers 1.94 times faster graphics performance than 10th Gen Intel® Core™ processors.

Fast AI with Hardware Acceleration and Intel® Xe Architecture

This solution uses 32 graphics execution units to enable high AI workload parallelization. This is combined with built-in AI acceleration from Intel® Deep Learning Boost (Intel® DL Boost) and the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit. This is up to 2.81 times faster GPU image classification inference performance.
