Advantech Launches FPM-300S Series for Outdoor Edge Visualization

Taipei, Taiwan, August 2026 – Advantech (TWSE: 2395), a leading global provider of intelligent systems and industrial IoT solutions, has introduced the FPM-300S Series of high-brightness rugged monitors—sunlight-readable displays tailored for outdoor edge visualization. Combining high-brightness, rugged protection, and reliable operation, the FPM-300S Series is designed for mission-critical deployments operating in sunlight, dust, rain, humidity, and high-traffic public environments.

The FPM-300S Series is engineered for reliable, sunlight-readable operation in outdoor environments, where strong sunlight and surface reflections can make screens difficult to read. Its 1800-nit high-brightness display maintains clear visibility even under direct sunlight, while an anti-glare coating reduces reflections to improve readability. An anti-UV coating helps protect the display surface from yellowing and degradation caused by prolonged UV exposure.

To support reliable long-term outdoor operation, optical bonding integrates the cover glass, touch panel, and LCD into a single optical stack, reducing internal reflections and minimizing fogging in humid conditions. Auto-dimming automatically adjusts screen brightness based on ambient light conditions, maintaining comfortable visibility without manual adjustment.

Built for demanding field conditions, the FPM-300S Series combines IK08 impact resistance with a ruggedized enclosure and an IP66-rated front panel design that protects against dust and water splashes. It also supports a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C, enabling stable performance across diverse climates and outdoor operating conditions.

The FPM-300S Series is suited for outdoor and semi-outdoor applications such as EV charging stations, outdoor kiosks, transportation terminals, energy infrastructure, and smart city systems. Available in display sizes ranging from 12" to 21.5", the series provides flexible integration options for diverse deployment requirements. In harbor and container terminal applications, it maintains screen readability under strong sunlight while supporting reliable operation in humid, high-salinity, and high-traffic environments.

For specialized industrial sites, selected FPM-300S Series models offer a C1D2-compliant design for hazardous locations such as oil and gas facilities, energy storage sites, and chemical plants. A Type-C single-cable solution further simplifies installation by integrating power, touch, and video transmission through a single connection.
