Taipei, Taiwan, April 11th, 2023 – Advantech, a leading provider of advanced video processing solutions, is pleased to announce a cooperation relationship with Semtech, a high-performance semiconductor, IoT systems and Cloud connectivity service provider. The aim of this collaboration is to develop Software Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE) solutions that benefit the entire SDVoE Alliance® ecosystem.

4K resolution video is becoming more and more common in operating rooms (OR). This is due in part to an increase in minimally invasive procedures which reduce health risks and speed up patients’ recovery. Advantech’s VEGA-1200 hybrid encoder/decoder not only facilitates medical imaging and video recording but takes it one step further by also supporting all analog, digital, and IP video sources. Encoder functionality converts analog signals into digital streams that can be transmitted over LAN, WAN, and other types of IP networks with near-zero latency.
