iEMS Assists Enterprises with the Development of Smart Energy Solutions. Advantech Aims to Become a Leader in the Smart Energy Industry

Advantech made significant investments in the iEMS industry in 2022 and is expected to advance smart energy systems by leveraging its core competencies and collaborating with ecosystem partners. Regarding project strategy, Advantech adheres to the following guidelines:
· Develop a comprehensive top-level design for Advantech's energy-saving and carbon reduction system, ensuring transparent environmental information management and goals.
· Collaborate with ecosystem partners in various industry domains to focus on applications for different field scenarios in the energy industry.
· Continuously anchor and drive innovations in energy management, energy control, and enterprise energy-saving and carbon-reduction management.
· Establish demonstration sites in Linkou, Taiwan, and Kunshan, China, while combining internal resources and external ecosystem partners for joint marketing efforts.
· Provide ongoing support to co-creation partners, fostering their growth and achieving the goal of altruistic win-win and joint innovation.
In 2022, the iEMS solution achieved significant results, such as collaborating with ESG/EMS consulting service partners and working with ecosystem partners in the energy industry, as well as carrying out the promotion of ESG and smart energy programs globally through online and offline activities. The iEMS system was initially implemented at the Advantech Linkou Campus. After careful calculations, the major annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Advantech Linkou Campus' high-efficiency smart energy solution are as follows:
1. Optimal contractual capacity analysis: being able to save $465,119/year
2. Dynamic control of the air handling units: about 14,000 kWh of electricity can be saved each year
3. Optimal control of air compressors: reduce carbon emissions by 62,385 kg
4. Balance control of external air handling units: saved about 60,000 kWh
Regarding the goals, the year of 2023 and 2025 respectively have the following visions and specific goals:
2023：
· Initiate an empowering energy service ecosystem partner program: There are over 60 target partners globally.
· Global promotion of ESG and smart energy programs: aim to achieve conducting more than 20 events.
· Industry-academia collaboration: focus on iEMS innovative solutions and applications, and promote them. Aim to collaborate with 10 universities and establish 2 cases of industry-academia collaboration aligned with IoT innovation applications.
2025：
· Initiate an empowering energy service ecosystem partner program: There are over 250 target partners globally. · Global promotion of ESG and smart energy programs: aim to achieve conducting more than 50 events.
· Industry-academia collaboration: focus on iEMS innovative solutions and applications, and promote them. Aim to collaborate with 41 universities and establish 4 cases of industry-academia collaboration aligned with IoT innovation applications.
