Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Advantech holds "Enabling an Intelligent and Sustainable Planet" as our corporate brand vision and stands as a global leader in the IoT intelligent system and embedded platform industries. We are willing to contribute our greatest effort to the environment and occupational health and safety (OH&S), achieve the goal of zero environmental pollution in production, zero occupational accidents in the workplace, and comprehensive health care, fulfill our responsibility of global citizens, and strive for sustainable corporate development.
Scope of Application
This policy applies to all Advantech’s employees, suppliers, services providers, contractors, joint venture partners, and other key business partners. In the working environment of Advantech's entire production operations and business facilities, including products and services, distribution and logistics, the consistent environmental, OH&S actions are taken to comply with the standards of this policy.
Advantech commit to
Compliance with domestic and international environmental protection and OH&S laws, regulations, standards, and voluntary programs or collective agreements.
Promote green operations, implement prevention of pollution, management of waste and green procurement, cooperate with customers, suppliers and contractors to jointly establish a green supply chain from design, production, delivery and services, then fulfill energy conservation, emission reduction, sustainable resource use and circular economy.
Pay attention to global climate change, environmental protection and OH&S issues. Proactively assess risks and opportunities, set quantitative targets and objectives for management performance metrics, promote environmental and OH&S action plans, and achieve environmental and OH&S targets and objectives.
Actively train and promote awareness of environment and OH&S to employees and other relevant parties. Have employee representatives participated in meetings and consultations to build consensus, set up prioritization and action plans, eliminate hazards and reduce OH&S risks and environmental impacts.
Through continuous improvement of the management system to enhance EHS performance. Deepen the corporate environmental, OH&S management culture, strengthen all employees, stakeholders and joint venture companies to understand the important responsibilities and awareness of sustainable development. Also, during conduct mergers and acquisitions of related businesses, due-diligence is implemented in accordance with this policy.
To achieve this purpose, I hereby appoint Associate Vice President YS Yang to act as management representative for Advantech’s EHS management systems. All employees must adhere to the management procedures and execute effectively all procedural regulations.
