Advantech Announces Collaboration with Microsoft to Showcase Industrial IoT and AI Solutions at Hannover Messe 2026
2/24/2026
Taipei, Taiwan, April 2026 - Advantech (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, announced its collaboration with Microsoft to accelerate industrial IoT and AI-enabled manufacturing solutions. The integration will be showcased in Microsoft’s booth at Hannover Messe, taking place April 20 – 24, 2026 in Hanover, Germany. In Hall 17, Stand G06, Microsoft will demonstrate Advantech’s industrial sensing and edge infrastructure as part of its Frontier Manufacturing initiative. Together, the companies are demonstrating a practical edge-to-cloud pattern that helps manufacturers securely capture operational signals from the shop floor and turn them into actionable insights using cloud and AI services.
Anders Nielsen, Head of IIoT Partnerships of Advantech North America, noted, “As part of our Frontier collaboration [JR1] with Microsoft, we are helping define how industrial AI can be deployed at scale across real-world environments. By combining Advantech’s broad edge infrastructure with Microsoft Azure’s cloud and AI capabilities, we enable manufacturers to seamlessly connect physical operations, capture real-time data, and turn it into actionable intelligence across sites. Together, we are accelerating the transition of industrial AI from pilot projects to scalable, production-ready deployments.”
[JR1]Use of the word “partnership” should only be used in announcements where there is a legally binding agreement or contract with shared liability. In this case, your announcement will likely take shape in the form of a joint communication. Instead of partnership, consider words like “collaboration,” “integration,” “relationship” or “working with.” Releases that announce agreements such as MOU, LOI, and LOUs are treated as a third-party press release and will be edited to comply with these legal guidelines
Visitors to Microsoft’s booth at Hannover Messe can expect to see Advantech’s LoRaWAN industrial sensing portfolio, including current meter, water leakage, temperature and humidity, and vibration sensors connected through the WISE-6610 LoRaWAN gateway. These sensors collect operational data from industrial equipment and facilities and transmit it securely across long distances using LoRaWAN connectivity.
“Manufacturers need solutions that work across both legacy systems and new digital investments. With Advantech, we’re helping customers connect operations faster, securely collect data with LoRaWAN, and turn it into insights that drive more intelligent manufacturing,” said Dayan Rodriguez, Corporate Vice President, Manufacturing and Mobility, Microsoft.
With one of the industry’s broadest portfolios of industrial edge computing, connectivity, and IoT sensing solutions, Advantech supports customers globally in building scalable edge-to-cloud architectures that power the next generation of intelligent factories.
Advantech invites industry partners and customers to visit Microsoft in Hall 17, Stand G06 at Hannover Messe to explore how Advantech’s industrial hardware portfolio works alongside Microsoft’s adaptive cloud and industrial AI capabilities to help manufacturers transform operational data into actionable insights.
