The MIC-3376 provides a slot 1 socket and accepts the Intel Pentium III/II CPU.
The slot 1 socket is mounted parallel to the CPU card in order to keep the
board within a 2-slot wide space. The configuration of the heat sink is
specially designed for the MIC-3376 in a very thin format and can only accept
S.E.C.C.2 package processors. The special designed heat sink will be packaged
with the MIC-3376. Figure 1-6 illustrates the assembly of a heat sink on a
processor. Following figure illustrates the installation of a CPU into the slot
1 socket.
NOTE: The external cooling air, whether from the chassis or from the rack, is a
must during operation to protect the CPU from overheating.
NOTE: Before fasten the heat sink on the processor, remember to tear apart the
blue covers from the cooling adhensives on the heat sink.
NOTE: If the heat sink can not be fastened well on CPU, please insert the
aluminum plates between heat sink and clips.
