Advantech Accelerates the IoT Edge Transformation with new Industrial Motherboards and Network Appliance based on 13th Gen Intel Core processor

Taipei, Taiwan, January 4th , 2023 - Advantech, a global leader in industrial IoT, today introduced four new products to help equipment vendors and service providers accelerate industrial and enterprise network edge applications. The three motherboards and the network appliance are based on the new 13th Gen Intel Core processor that brings more cores, threads, cache, and faster memory to compute-intensive edge use cases. The new motherboards and the network appliance are generally available for customer evaluation and deployment.
Industries and enterprises are transforming their infrastructure to build a more intelligent edge able to manage the increasing number of connected devices and turn edge generated data into competitive advantage. The new Advantech product range integrates 13th Gen Intel Core i9/i7/i5/i3 processors with up to 24 high performance hybrid cores and 32 threads for powerful multitasking to accelerate the IoT edge transformation. The new processor family supports up to PCIe 5.0 connectivity, DDR5 memory and higher L2/L3 cache on selected SKUs to give more control over workload prioritizing. In addition, it provides hardware-enabled AI acceleration with Intel Deep Learning Boost which, in combination with high core counts and integrated graphics, boosts AI training and inference, with fast in GPU image classification performance.
Industrial equipment manufacturers can leverage the new ASMB-588, ASMB-788 and ASMB-610V3 motherboards which have been designed for edge AI use cases such as machine automation and machine vision. They provide flexible implementation options through standard microATX and ATX form factors or bundled with Advantech HPC-6120 short-depth edge server chassis. The three industrial motherboards support latest DDR5 ECC/Non-ECC UDIMMs up to 128GB and a rich mix of PCIe expansion slots to accelerate compute-intensive edge AI use cases. They are ideal for industrial edge environments that require low power, compact size and wide operating temperature range solutions.
