The conference featured both Chinese and English sessions, bringing together ecosystem partners and industry leaders. The conference attracted nearly 2,000 in-person participants from Taiwan and overseas, while the event was also live-streamed to engage a global audience and share insights worldwide. KC Liu, Chairman of Advantech, along with a distinguished group of internationally renowned speakers—including senior executives from leading global tech companies such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm, NXP, and Microsoft, as well as several industry experts—participated in person at the forum to share their practical insights and real-world applications of AI and edge computing. Conference covered the latest collaborative trends between edge and cloud, platform integration strategies, and integrated hardware-software technologies, all aimed at accelerating digital transformation across diverse industries.
KC Liu, Chairman of Advantech, and Dr. Lee-Feng Chien, former Managing Director of Google Taiwan, discussed the trend of AI shifting from the cloud to the edge during the opening forum. They emphasized that “Agentic AI” will meet real-time application demands with lower latency and greater flexibility. In response to this wave of transformation, Advantech aims to accelerate AI deployment at the edge through its integrated hardware-software strategy and the WISE-Edge platform. Advantech also seeks to deepen collaboration with cloud, software, and equipment partners to build a cross-industry intelligent ecosystem, enabling the commercialization and scaling of AI, while driving the upgrade of industrial intelligence.
Miller Chang, President of Advantech Embedded Sector, and Nakul Duggal, Group General Manager of Automotive and Industrial & Embedded IoT at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., took the stage to explore the profound impact of edge AI on various industry applications. In response to the surging demand for real-time computing and intelligent capabilities, the two leaders emphasized how edge AI has emerged as a critical enabler for the development of autonomous systems and robotics. Advantech and Qualcomm also jointly announced several new collaborative initiatives, aiming to develop edge intelligence architectures with autonomous decision-making capabilities. Both companies remain committed to advancing hardware platforms, software integration, and ecosystem development to accelerate the realization of the edge AI vision.
Linda Tsai, President of Advantech Intelligent System Sector, joined Deepu Talla, VP and GM of Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA, and John Yasunori Yamamoto, Asia Pacific Smart Factory Business Lead at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC, for a high-level panel discussion on the successful deployment and stable operation of pre-trained models in enterprise edge AI implementation. Deepu shared insights into how AI computing is evolving from inference-based applications toward autonomous intelligence. Linda emphasized Advantech’s commitment to accelerating AI deployment and scaling through modular platforms. From a systems integration perspective, John analyzed the key enablers for large-scale AI adoption, highlighting strategies to maximize operational efficiency.
As edge computing and AI evolve rapidly, enterprises increasingly seek integrated hardware-software solutions to realize technological and commercial value. Mark Yang, AVP of Advantech Embedded Sector, moderated a panel with Richard Huang, Chief Software Architect of the WISE-Edge Software Center at Advantech, and Manas Human, Co-founder and CEO of Nagarro. Centered on WISE-Edge, the discussion highlighted the benefits of end-to-end integration in accelerating digital transformation and shared insights and opportunities from real-world edge AI deployments.
Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of 01.AI and Chairman of Sinovation Ventures, delivered a keynote titled “Global Outlook on Generative AI,” emphasizing that AI 2.0—driven by generative AI—marks a historic technological and platform revolution. He highlighted the rise of “slow thinking” reasoning models, ushering in an era where AI can train and refine itself. As iterative training speeds up and inference costs decrease tenfold annually, these advancements are jointly paving the way for a surge of AI-first applications by 2025. Dr. Lee also noted that large models are being rapidly optimized and extracted for edge deployment. The synergy between lightweight models and edge computing hardware is set to unlock trillion-dollar market opportunities across industries.
Following the keynote, Advantech Chairman KC Liu engaged in a dialogue with Ivy Peng, Founder of Zillion Intelligence, to explore the future blueprint of edge computing and industrial intelligence. Ivy highlighted that industrial intelligence is transitioning from the cloud to the edge and evolving toward AI Agents with autonomous decision-making capabilities. They also discussed how ecosystem collaboration and scenario-based fine-tuning can accelerate the deployment of AI on the manufacturing front line. KC Liu emphasized that Advantech will leverage its WISE-Edge platform, integrating high-performance servers with edge devices, to enable scalable and replicable industrial AI applications.
At the Chinese session, Advantech executives—including ChingPo Lin, VP of the iAutomation Sector; Aaron Su, VP of the Embedded IoT Sector; and Richard Huang, Chief Software Architect of the WISE-Edge Software Center—joined industry experts such as Jason Wang, FAE Director at NXP, and Stephen Lee, SMC Lead at Microsoft Taiwan. The panel explored how to enable full-stack innovation across the edge-to-cloud continuum, leveraging Advantech’s WISE-Edge platform to accelerate edge AI deployment and optimize inference. Panelists emphasized the importance of advancing chip, edge hardware, and cloud technologies to address the growing demands of heterogeneous computing and diverse applications. Integrating cloud and edge software architectures, they noted, is essential to achieving efficient cloud-edge collaboration and driving intelligent transformation.
The final panel, titled “AI Empowering Diverse Innovations: Shaping a New Era of Intelligent Manufacturing Transformation,” featured representatives from Zhen Ding Tech., Expetech Co., Ltd., and the Senior Director of Advantech’s ATMC Manufacturing Center. The speakers shared practical applications of AI technologies in environmental, health and safety (EHS) management, smart warehousing, and digital factories. Moreover, the discussion explored how Edge AI, Agentic AI, and Advantech’s WISE-IoT ready-to-use applications are enabling real-time monitoring, interactive decision-making, and intelligent inspection. Through co-creation across industries and technological empowerment, the session underscored how AI accelerates digital transformation and helps build more resilient, sustainable factories.
