A leading North American paint manufacturer requested an all-in-one computer with plug-and-play functionality, an easy-to-use touchscreen, and coating capable of resisting paint. This paint mixing control PC needed to withstand high impacts.

Advantech’s solution, which would be installed in hazardous environments, needed be a compact all-in-one design compliant with ATEX & IECEx certifications. Additionally, the design needed to support several configurations — either in a tower or wall-mounted with no external computer or keyboard.

Smart Self-Service Gas Station Kiosks

This solution was a complete self-service kiosk cabinet solution installed in gas stations. Advantech’s solution was designed for systems integrator (SI) companies in Taiwan. These SI specialized in building self-service solutions for Taiwanese gas station operators.

This cabinet featured a variety of technologies. These included, IK rated glass to prevent impact damage, customized high-brightness displays for outdoor readability, and integrated payment peripherals for real-time credit authorization.

A leading software cybersecurity company was seeking a device capable of scanning visitors’ USBs for viruses. Advantech worked with them on an ID oriented device from the initial design phase.
