Company Introduction
Centurion Micro Electronics or CME focusses on supplying embedded and industrial PC products to the South African and rest of Africa market. We started in 1993 supplying mainly to defence related clients. Current customers come from the transport (rail), gaming, marketing/advertising, mining, factory automation etc fields. CME has a number of suppliers enabling us to offer an effective solution to most requirements, often using products from more than one supplier.
CME is based in Centurion in Gauteng Province, the economic centre of South Africa. We do have a small branch office in Cape Town. Between the two we supply to the whole of South Africa and to other African countries.
Service Overview
CME carries local stock of the more popular items enabling customers to test and evaluate items quickly. We also have weekly AIR shipments from Taiwan and China resulting in short lead times on items that we might not have in stock.
We have local board level repair capabilities and we keep stock of many of these repair components. This means that a faulty Panel PC for example can be quickly locally repaired by replacing only the faulty board which can be the touch panel, LCD, motherboard or power supply.
Our sales team are available to assist our clients. They will suggest and source the required components to meet your requirements. We do make items available on-loan allowing our clients to fully evaluate our products to ensure correct functionality before purchasing.
Lastly, we network with other companies in South Africa. If there are some items or services that we cannot provide, we will source these locally and directly or indirectly put our clients in contact with these suppliers as needed. This might include software development, custom metalwork or custom plastic enclosures, custom electronic board development, custom cables or harnesses etc.
