Advantech Signs MOU with KLN Medical and YDCare to Advance Smart Ward Deployment in Hong Kong

2026/7/15

Hong Kong, 15 July 2026 – Advantech Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, today announced the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KLN Medical Limited (“KLN Medical”), the healthcare subsidiary of KLN Logistics Group Limited (HKEX: 0636), and YDCare, a professional medical nursing care brand under New Frontier Group.

Accelerating Smart Healthcare Adoption

Under the MOU, KLN Medical will serve as the sole distributor of Advantech’s iWard smart ward solution in Hong Kong. By bringing together Advantech’s smart healthcare technology, YDCare’s clinical expertise, and KLN Medical’s healthcare supply chain and after-sales support capabilities, the three companies aim to accelerate the adoption of smart healthcare solutions across hospital and care facilities and support the digital transformation of Hong Kong’s healthcare sector.

Connecting the Smart Ward

Part of Advantech’s iHealthcare portfolio under its Service IoT business, the iWard smart ward solution integrates patient information, clinical workflows, and connected medical equipment within a unified digital environment. It can also connect to existing hospital information systems, helping healthcare teams improve clinical collaboration, streamline ward operations, and reduce the administrative workload for frontline staff.

Local Expertise and End-to-End Support

KLN Medical will provide local medical institutions with end-to-end implementation support, including equipment delivery, technical support, maintenance services, and system deployment coordination. YDCare will contribute its clinical experience and nursing best practices to help ensure that the solution meets the operational needs of healthcare professionals in Hong Kong.

Bringing Proven Smart Ward Technology to Hong Kong

“The iWard smart ward solution has gained recognition in healthcare markets across Asia, including Mainland China, Thailand, and Japan,” said Jackson Hsu, PD Head of iHealthcare SRP at Advantech. “Through our collaboration with KLN Medical and YDCare, we look forward to bringing this technology to Hong Kong and combining it with our partners’ local operational and clinical expertise. Together, we aim to support frontline healthcare professionals, improve ward efficiency, and enhance the patient care experience.”

Strengthening Hong Kong’s Healthcare Supply Chain

“We are pleased to enter into this tripartite partnership with Advantech and YDCare, which marks an important milestone for our expansion into the smart healthcare sector. With our professional expertise, extensive healthcare logistics network, and commitment to service excellence, we will provide Hong Kong’s medical institutions with efficient and reliable supply chain solutions,” said Samuel Lau, Managing Director – Integrated Logistics at KLN.

Combining Clinical Expertise with Intelligent Systems

“YDCare has been dedicated to providing home nursing care services for a decade and is one of the pioneers in home-based healthcare in Hong Kong. With our clinical perspective, professional experience, and nursing best practices, we will help integrate patient data with intelligent systems. We believe this collaboration will help more medical institutions optimise nursing workflows and further improve the quality and safety of patient care,” said Serena Xie, Founder and CEO of YDCare.

Advancing Healthcare Digitalisation Through Co-Creation

The collaboration reflects Advantech’s commitment to working with healthcare and technology partners to build co-creation ecosystems. By combining technology with local clinical and operational expertise, Advantech aims to support the continued digitalization of healthcare delivery and deliver tangible benefits to healthcare professionals and patients.
