Solution:

  • How do you enable and disable an Ethernet port on the Spectre Routers?

    Below it shows the ETH(eth0) and Port1(eth1) ports active under Network Status. Also in this picture it shows a bridge interface which occurs when you bridge one or more interfaces together. On the LAN configuration menu you can disable port1(eth1) by making sure DHCP Client is disabed, the IP address and Subnet Mask is blank, and Bridged options is set to no. Port1(eth1) is actually disabled by default on the router. Another way is to use the CLI or startup script menu. See below. To disable Port1(eth1) you would use: ifconfig eth1 down Note: You can enable ports the same way with: ifconfig eth1 up You can use the command line which can be access via telnet or if you want the port to be disabled even if a power cycle is done to the router you can simply enter this command under startup script. Examples are below. or Using the Startup Script would require you to Apply the changes and then do a reboot.
