  • Do your Ethernet to fiber media converters work with Wake-on-lan?

    Our media converters are unmanaged transparent media converters that meet 802.3 Ethernet standards, we have not tested with WOL, you can test it yourself if you would like. We have 30 day guarantee on the product. Years ago WOL was impacted by Ethernet devices that had more latency. Today’s chips and switch chips have very little latency, so WOL should work. Wake on LAN is mainly used by system administrators to perform computer maintenance tasks remotely. The computer receiving the Magic Packet must have a motherboard, network adapter, adapter driver, and computer basic input/output system (BIOS) that work with Wake on LAN.
