How to get ADAM-4000 module's input through ADAM-5000/TCP?

Solution:

  • 5000tcp+4000module

    step 1: Use ADAM-4000 utility to configure ADAM module's communication protocol as "Modbus".And set its address as 3.
    step 2: Adjust Node ID of ADAM-5000/TCP as 1 and connect ADAM-4000 module to its COM2.
    step 3: Run ADAM-5000TCP/6000 utility and click this module icon.
    step 4: Switch to "Network" Page and remember its IP address.(For example 172.18.2.152)
    step 5: Switch to "RS-485/Modbus/COM-WDT" and change "Parity" setting as "None" and adjust "RTU Frame Timeout" as 100ms.
    step 6: Click "Apply" and input the password to make those setting active.
    step 7: Now you can use Modscan or Advantech MOBDUS/TPC OPC Server to verify it.
    step 8: Input the IP address(172.18.2.152), set Port as 502 and RS-485 address as 3.
    step 9: Run it and execute scaling setting to get its engineering value.
