In order to use a serial to Ethernet converter in the way you are describing, our device would act as a client, and your device would have to act as a server. So your device would have to be listening in on a particular port number on the network. You then set our device as a client and put the IP address of your device in the Remote IP field of our settings and set the port number to what ever port your Ethernet device is listening to. (Our default is port 4000, you would change this to reflect the port your Ethernet device wants) If you are unsure of the port number, you will have to contact the manufacture of your Ethernet device and ask if it can act as a server and what port number does it listen on. Not all Ethernet devices have this capability.
